About ACGA (Australian Cotton Ginner's Association)

Cotton ginning plays an essential part of the cotton production pipeline and is a focal point of regional cotton communities

and their location, resources and contributions to local economies are critical to the cotton industry. In light of the importance of the ginning sector in the cotton value chain ACGA was formed over 30 years ago, and its aims are as follows:

To promote the common business interests of persons engaged in the cotton ginning industry within Australia;
To encourage and promote co-operation;
To sponsor technical development,
To seek improvement of communications, education, and safety within the ginning industry; and,
To promote, adhere and to be audited to Best Management Practices

ACGA has three membership categories

Ordinary Members

Ordinary which are members that are

employed or the owner of a ginning

company which have voting power.

Associate Members

Associate members which are not employed by and not the owner of a ginning company, but provide expert equipment and support to the gins operational in the country.

These members are entitled to attend general meetings but do not have any voting rights.

Life Members

This is for ginners that have retired but would like to stay involved and in touch with the ginning industry.

These members are invited to attend general meetings but do not have any voting rights.
